The
2010 National Games will be held in Lincoln, NE from July 17 – 23, with a
departure date of July 24. SOIA athletes and coaches are invited to
apply to be a part of this amazing event. Over 2,000 athletes, coaches
and staff members will participate in the games. This is your chance
to apply to be a part of the event.
Selection
for Team Iowa will be based on the following criteria:
*Athletes of all ability levels have an equal
opportunity to advance to the next higher level of competition (ex.
National Games).
*Priority is given to first place finishers from all
divisions of the sport / event from September 2008 through June
2009. If the number of first place finishers exceeds the quota, we
will select athletes or teams to advance by a random draw.
*If there are not enough first place finishers to fill
the quota, then all first place finishers shall advance. The
remaining quota will be filled by a random draw of second place finishers
from all divisions or the sport / event.
