Texas Roadhouse Luncheon

Location: Statewide: Ames, Cedar Falls, Cedar Rapids, Coralville, Council Bluffs, Davenport, Dubuque, Sioux City, Urbandale
11:00am-2:00pm
Join us at any Texas Roadhouse location in Iowa on Thursday, May 30th for a "free" lunch! Lunch will be served by local law enforcement and patrons are encouraged to leave a donation in the amount they feel their meal & service was worth. 100% of all donations will go directly to Special Olympics Iowa. Includes a pulled pork sandwich, applesauce, fresh baked bread with honey-cinnamon butter and soda or tea.

Special Olympics All-Wheel Show
Date: Saturday, June 1
Location: Adel Town Square, Adel
10:00am-2:30pm
The Dallas County Sheriff's Office presents the 5th Annual Special Olympics All-Wheel Show. Top 20 Awards, plus: Best in Show, Special Olympics chioce, Most Likely to be Stopped by a Cop, Bad Bike, Long Distance and more! Admission is free. Car registration is $15 per car/vehicle and $5 for every car after that (per owner).

Hero's vs. Wannabe's Quadrathon

Teams of 10 participate in 4 events: Fire Truck Pull, Bocce Ball, Tricycle Races & Mud Volleyball. The team with the highest score from the four events will win the traveling trophy!

The Electric Run

Volunteers wanted! Special Olympics Iowa has teamed up with the Electric Run 5k at the Newton Speedway. Several volunteers are needed that week for various duties, such as packet picket up on Friday, June 14th and all-purpose volunteers from Saturday, June 15th. If you are interested in volunteering, please email leastin@soiowa.org and CC thaina@electricrun.com and notify them you are volunteering on behalf of Special Olympics Iowa. Then visit the Electric Run's webpage to register to volunteer! (It is important you email the contacts above either before or after you register in order for SOIA to receive credit for volunteers!) A portion of the proceeds from the race will be given Special Olympics Iowa in return for providing volunteers.

Neighborfood

Neighborfood is a fun event which allows people to sample food at 8 different local restaurants in the East Village. Tickets are $40/person and Dishcrawl will donate $10 to Special Olympics Iowa for every ticket purchased with the code "specialolympicsia"
