The Special Olympics 2014 USA National Games will be held June 14 – 21, 2014 in New Jersey.
SOIA athletes and coaches are invited to apply to be part of Team Iowa.
Athlete selection for Team Iowa will be based on the following criteria:
- Priority will be given to first place finishers from all divisions of the sport (s) they are applying for from April 2012 – March 2013.
- If the number of first place finishers exceeds the quota, we will select the athletes to advance by a random draw.
- If there are not enough first place finishers to fill the quota, then all first place finishers shall advance. The remaining quota will be filled by a random draw of second place finishers from all divisions of the sport.
- An athletes may apply for more than one sport. However if chosen, the athlete will only participate in one sport during the National Games.
