Coralville Texas Road House features Tip A Cop fundraiser on October 27

What:  Law enforcement officials fill beverages and bus tables for donations to benefit programs for Special Olympics

Iowa that provide training and sports competition for 11,000 SOIA athletes with intellectual disabilities and Unified

Sports Partners.

 Who:   Local law enforcement officials

 When:  5-10 p.m. on Saturday, October 27

Where:  Texas Roadhouse, 2520 Corridor Way, Coralville

Jeanette Steinfeldt, SOIA director of development said aside from the donations received there are more benefits to hosting this event. “Tip A Cop gives Texas Roadhouse and its customers a chance to see their law enforcement officials in a different light,” Steinfeldt said. “Texas Roadhouse also gets an opportunity to show the community that they are supporting a worthy cause.”

SOIA is a nonprofit organization serving Iowans with intellectual disabilities since 1968. SOIA provides training and competitions in 23 Olympic-type sports in all 99 counties in Iowa.  Nearly 11,000 athletes and Unified Sports Partners participate in events annually.
