Jeanette Steinfeldt, SOIA director of development said aside from the donations received there are more benefits to hosting this event. “Tip A Cop gives Texas Roadhouse and its customers a chance to see their law enforcement officials in a different light,” Steinfeldt said. “Texas Roadhouse also gets an opportunity to show the community that they are supporting a worthy cause.”
SOIA is a nonprofit organization serving Iowans with intellectual disabilities since 1968. SOIA provides training and competitions in 23 Olympic-type sports in all 99 counties in Iowa. Nearly 11,000 athletes and Unified Sports Partners participate in events annually.
