What: Special Olympics Iowa Cop on Top fundraiser where law enforcement official stand outside Walmart Stores in an effort to receive donations to benefit programs for Special Olympics Iowa that provide training and sports competition to nearly 11,000 Iowans with intellectual disabilities and Unified Sports partners.

Where: 534 S. Duff Walmart Supercenter and Walmart at 3015 Grand Ave.
Saturday, October 6 and Sunday, October 7, area law enforcement officials will be at the Walmart stores in Ames to raise money and awareness for Special Olympics Iowa. The event will kick off at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday and will conclude at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.
Cop on Top events began 13 years ago in various parts of the state. Altoona, Ames, Ankeny, Cedar Rapids, Coralville, Council Bluffs, Des Moines, Iowa City, Marshalltown, Ottumwa, West Des Moines and Windsor Height are hosting a Cop on Top event this year.
