Farm Bureau Financial Services also hosts an annual Unified Sports event at their facility.
Perhaps the greatest contribution Farm Bureau Financial Services makes to Special Olympics Iowa is through volunteering. Employees Gary Harms and Jim Noyce serve on the Board of Directors for Special Olympics Iowa. In addition, every year more than 60 employees help to register athletes, get them to their places, time and score events, record and announce winners, and present medals in the Developmental Sports venue at the Summer Games.
The energy and enthusiasm, as well as the organizational skills provided by Farm Bureau Financial Services volunteers, help make the events run smoothly. And most importantly, because of volunteers, the athletes hear their names announced, are cheered and congratulated, all helping to create wonderful, life-long memories for these special athletes.
